Preparation Instructions:
- Step 1
- Cut bread into 1-inch thick slices. Arrange in a single layer in a greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Lightly beat the eggs with the granulated sugar, 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, vanilla extract, maple extract, and salt. Stir in the milk and cream. Pour egg mixture over the bread, turning slices once to coat. Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
- Step 2
- Thaw berry blend according to package instructions.
- Step 3
- Preheat oven to 325˚F.
- Step 4
- Turn bread again to coat. For topping; combine flour, remaining brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend until sandy in texture. Sprinkle over bread. Bake uncovered until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean and topping is golden brown, 45-50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into 8 portions. Top each portion with 3 oz. berry blend and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
