- Mix cake mix with cold butter in a food processor until the mixture is crumbly, set aside. Place frozen strawberries in a half-sized hotel pan. Cover evenly with cake mix topping. Bake until golden brown and bubbly about 55-60 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature and set up before serving.
